Make an Impact through Karma

The power of thoughts, words and actions cannot be undermined and underestimated. From a creative action point, the goal itself becomes evolutionary in contributing to the betterment of the society we live in. Our actions #KARMA has the potential to bring about a change in our society and the country as a whole.

I believe that our actions shape our thoughts and our thoughts define our actions and together they can make an impact for building a better tomorrow.

This is more relevant today than ever. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economy is expected to shrink by over 3 per cent in 2020 – the steepest slowdown since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

To save our national economy, the country has resolved to take the path of self-reliance. The government of India and Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has given a clarion call to make India self-reliant. With the twin objective of reviving different spheres of the economy in the short term and insulating India from any future global economic downturn, in the long run, the Aatm Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan seeks to build capacities across sectors and promote local products. At the same time, Atmanirbhar Bharat is not meant to promote protectionism or isolationism by erecting trade barriers. Rather, it envisions to make India a bigger and more important part of the global economy, pursuing policies that are efficient, competitive and resilient.

This is how we turn challenges into opportunities! By looking out for new possibilities in the face of adversity. However, that is not the sufficient condition. An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied. So we need to ACT!

At the same time, corona virus outbreak taught us important lessons of life. It impelled us to follow the basics of life like embracing humanity and showcasing positivity. We, humans must not forget these basic principles once the pandemic is over and we are back to our normal life styles.

As we fight the common invisible enemy, we have realised that the virus doesn’t differentiate on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, caste or gender. We humans must also rise above these differences and stand for each other irrespective of socio-economic status, religious dogmas, political ideologies or any other form of discrimination. Let us also resolve to live in harmony with each other as well as with every living being and the nature.
